Mixed-use building in Pindi Gheb, Pakistan. Covered area 15,000 sft. Four levels: lower ground super mart, upper ground bank, first-floor offices, second-floor residential.

Context

The response begins with the people who will use the project and the particular conditions of Pindi Gheb, Punjab — its climate, surroundings and existing fabric.

Concept

Why it is designed this way

The response

A corner block with shopfronts at grade and a brick-and-concrete upper. The section stacks uses by publicness: mart and bank on the street, offices on the first floor, apartments on the second, each with its own plan.

Designed for climate, nature and time
