How much does an architect cost in Islamabad?
A plain explanation of percentage fees, fixed fees, and what actually moves the number.
Clients ask about fees before they ask about plans, which is as it should be. In Pakistan, full architectural service is still often quoted as a percentage of construction — commonly in a band that moves with the complexity of the building, not the glamour of the render.
A renovation in F-11 is not the same job as a new house on the Margallas. Surveys, neighbours, and a tenanted ground floor all take time that a percentage on a speculative construction cost will not cover. That is why we prefer a fixed fee by stage once we have walked the site.
